Our Favorite Picnics are in Yosemite
We try to visit Yosemite as much as possible, but this year we had to contend with wildfires and other road closures. Last winter's heavy snows made a visit to Tuolumne Meadows in July a real treat!
We collect fluorescent minerals
This assortment of short wave (UVC) minerals include benitoite, the California State Gemstone, and orange fluorescing mangano calcite.
We enjoy collecting!
We found "hot lips" at a booth in Quartzsite one year, and always enjoy the reactions of our viewers. She's a rim of uranium activated chalcedony on a non-reactive quartz plate.
